This how to guide, tutorial, will provide you with step by step instruction on how to install and setup windows vista ultimate edition on your computer using screenshots and illustrations - Windows
- Insert Windows Vista DVD into your dvd drive and restart your computer. After restart will ask you to press any key to boot from CD/DVD. Press any key and Windows Vista will start loading files for the installation setup

- Enter the following information as shown bellow, Language to install, Time and Currency format & Keyboard or Input Method

- Click on Install Now button to begin the installation. Please note that you can also click on "What to know before installing Windows "

- Read the license terms and check the box next to "I accept the license terms"

- Choose type of installation. In this case we do a new clean installation so we choose "Custom (Advanced) ". Attention in case of clean installation any data on disk will be deleted. Please note that if you want to upgrade to Windows Vista you will need to start installation from Windows, and is recommended almost mandatory to use Upgrade Advisor for Windows Vista first

- Now you have to choose the partition or hard disk drive on which you want to install Windows Vista. If you have different partitions like this one, it would be better if you delete them and create a new one using the " Drive Options (Advanced) " located at bottom right of the window. Please note that when you delete partiotions any data on them will be lost.

- Windows Vista Installation will begin at this point. You can know sit and relax or do something else for about half an hour based on your computer speed, if you have a new fast computer then will finish earlier.

- When installation finishes your computer will restart and will start windows for the first time

- You will be prompt now to select a username and a picture like shown bellow. Type a username and a password.

- Type a computer name and choose a desktop background. Computer name is the one that will be used to refer (identify) to your computer when you are on a network.

- On the next setup screen you will be asked to choose a method to protect your computer, choose to use recommended settings as shown bellow

- Next Setup Screen will ask you to review your time and date setting as shown bellow

- Last setup screen will say "Thank you". Click on the Start button located at the bottom right of your screen

- Now Windows Vista will check you computer's performance in order to determine whether to enable Windows Aero (a more visually dynamic experience).
